| I've got a c# web app that is giving me permissions errors while writing to the c:\program files\.. directory. I've changed the NTFS permissions to allow the asp net user to have write and then full control but neither worked. Is there a setting in the system 32 web config file that will allow me to write to those directories? Thanks, Chris |

I need to be able to add new users to the web.config file, or probably better yet to write users to a separate password.xml file. | After having reviewed the MS Helpfile, I realize that this is the kind of solution that I am using right now. I need to be more clear, because it is really the encryption part that I am after. I use the built in method 'HashPassWordForStoringInConfigFile' (Phew) to generate an encrypted password.
