aspnet_wp.exe can not start (2 replies, VIP)

Hello, I installed the DotNet framework on my test servers nd it was no problem, but now I want to install it on the production server and I get the error "Application cannot start". when I look at the event log I see the following error "aspnet wp.exe can not start". I reinstalled .. same same Can anybody tell me what is wrong ?? Thanks Mark Nijhof mark@nijhof.com

Hi all ... I just installed the .NET framework; trying to run the samples all I get is "Server Application Unavailable" ... ?? looks like a permissions issue of some sort but I'm lost and can't find a thing in the docs ... such as they are ... Anyone got any ideas ?? Thanks ! JFF

I have Win2k Server with SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition SP2 installed (just the Default instance). Am I correct in assuming that I need to manually install a NETSDK instance using Developer Edition setup in order to have the QuickStart ASP samples install and function?
