Hi. When we write our class libraries, are we tied to a particular version of the run time? If so, does that mean, when we deploy our class libraries, we should also deploy the runtime that we built with? It doesn't make sense though because if that's the case, then the customers would potentially have so many versions of the .NET runtime after they install different .NET components/libraries from...

I installed the .NET Framework SDK on a web server machine separate from my SQL Server 2000 machine. I am able to create a Visual Studio .NET project on the web server from my desktop and am trying to follow the walkthrough titled "Using a DataGrid Web Control to Read and Write Data". C# App won't run on Win98 (2 replies)

I have an application that runs fine except on Win98. (I did create a simple "Hello" program that does seem to run OK.) I got the command line debugger to run on Win98, and here's the exception I get; System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException message (0x00fc3198) "Unknown Error" HResult 0x80004005 xcode 0xe0434f4d Any ideas?
