It would be useful if we could have a bit more control over the caching
of User Controls, particularly at development time.

It is very frustrating making changes to the code in a User Control,
but not being able to see the changes due to caching.

Firstly it would be handy of one could turn the caching on and off via
a setting in the web.config.

Secondly it would be useful if there was a facility that enabled you to
view the individual elements of an application that are being cached
and then either enable or disable caching on an individual basis or be
able to flush the cache.

What do the rest of you think?

Cheers,

Hi Julian,

In a future version of ASP.NET, we'd like to add a feature in web.config
to turn off caching - just as you were thinking.

For the second idea - I'll add this to the list of what-ifs :)

Thanks
Rob
