I hit a error as following:

System.SystemException: The .Net Data OLE DB
Provider(System.Data.OleDb) requires Microsoft Data
Access Components(MDAC). Please install Microsoft Data
Access Components(MDAC) version 2.6 or later. --->
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException
(0x8007007F): The specified procedure could not be
found. at
System.RuntimeType.CreateInstanceImpl(Boolean
publicOnly) at System.Activator.CreateInstance(Type
type) at
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection.CreateInstanceMDAC()
at
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection.CreateInstanceMDAC()

System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection.GetObjectPool(Boolean
parsing) at
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection.CreateProvider() at
System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection.Open() at
ASP.login_aspx.Login_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dit\login.aspx:line 28

Then, I went to Microsoft download site to download
"MDAC 2.7 RTM" and install it. And reboot the
computer, but the error still coming out. Can someone
help me? Thank you.

Did you install it on the server you are trying to connect to? That is what
it is telling you.

Yes, I installed it in the Windows 2000 Server. I even
installed "MDAC 2.6 Software Developers Kit", "MDAC
2.6 SP1". But it still come out the same error. Should
I remove ASP.NET, microsoft.net and re-install again?

I would try uninstalling all the .net stuff in reverse order. Then
installing MDAC 2.7, then the framework. What type of database are you
trying to connect to?
