I couldn't get vs.net beta1 to install correctly on whistler beta2. I
couldn't get past the component update.

I can't speak for Beta 1 but...Some of the later builds between Beta 1
and Beta 2 are currently temperemental (meaning they fail :-)) on
install. I've usually gotten around this by merely installing in this
order win2k > VS .NET > Whistler. Then everything has worked fine.

The most recent private builds of .NET work better in Whistler Beta 2 than
they do in Win2K. Don't ask me why this is. But I installed on a clean
install of Win2K and ran into too many problems to count, including many
crashing issues. I reformatted and installed Whistler Beta 2 then the build
of .NET and everything works. While I admit that this may not be the rule
but the exception in my case, a clean build of Win2K did not play well with
the most recent .NET

Yeah I would have to agree with the exception of some install issues
surrounding Build 9188 on whistler. Otherwise it's been pretty good.
