Can someone clarify if the common languge runtime is a pre Release version
or it is a proper release and how stable it is.

It's in beta 1. Beta 2 is coming soon. It's stable enough that Microsoft is
using it on a production server, but I believe the recommendation is still
not to count on it just yet (since it IS still beta software).

http://music.windowsmedia.msn.com/Default.aspx is all ASP.NET

They have also used ASP.Net on the MS Office Update page
