I know it's a bit early to ask this...

I just looked around msdn.microsoft.com/net for a while and I could find =
any references to a guesstimated release date for .Net.

Does anybody have any information on this? Even something as vague as =
"early next year" or something would be greatly appreciated.

I've talked to my manager a few times about starting to use .net, but he =
always wants to know when a final release is... and I haven't a clue.

Based on the timeline chart at http://www.microsoft.com/net/timeline.asp one
might guess anywhere from November of 2001 to February of 2002.
