I have a rather large site (900 items) with about 200 different asp pages.
These pages use includes for common items such as headers footers and a
footer menu.

Does visual studio have a good mechanism for moving from such a setup to a
.net type setup? I'm interested in developing the new parts of the site in
c# and upgrading the old VBScript and Jscript as I have the time.

Are classes the best way to approach this? The reason behind the Includes
was not to obscure things from hapless designers (sorry about the stab...
for any of you GOOD designers out there) but to enable me to have 1 spot
where I could edit code for multiple files. Most of the code inside the
Includes is just normal HTML.

I'm assuming that many other people will be facing this same situation and
would be interested in any advice you folks could offer.

Hi George

I have written a converter which will convert most of the code from .asp to asp.net for my personal
usage. It takes care 90% of the monkey work out. If there is more of a need for a converter like
this. I might make it available for public consumption.
