With System.Drawing imported, I get an error trying this:

If Label1.BackColor = Color.Black Then
Label1.ForeColor = Color.White
Else
Label1.ForeColor = Color.Black
End if

This is the error message:
Operator "=" is not defined for types System.Drawing.Color

How is this defined programmatically?

Is that the full error? The equality operator should work for two
Colors. Are there any other errors?

I haven't checked but I am guessing Label1.ForeColor contains a HTML colour
string?

So you would need to do

ColorTranslator.FromHtml(Label1.ForeColor) = Color.White

or something?
