Anyone have some concise sample code that integrates Windows domain accounts
security along with roles/groups contained/defined within a database or
possibly Enterprise Services? (formerly known as COM+ Services)

What I'm looking to do is utilize existing Intranet accounts while applying
a custom user group structure (as developers don't often have the ability to
have the IS department define domain-based groups for our apps to use) .
I've found some examples that demonstrate ... to a degree ... this type of
functionality but they are somewhat complex. I'm really looking for some
simple code that shows the basics/best practices of how to accomplish this.

bill, if you do create something based on the custom principal method =
described in the article which hooks into the method, would you be will =

Thanks. I've seen this article too. I took a look at the code. There's a
lot more stuff going on in there in there than I'll need. I have some
"ExtendedPrincipal" code I wrote that uses a database for roles along with
the GenericPrincipal. I will add the "switch" for using the
WindowsPrincipal authentication to. I'm basically lazy so I was hoping that
someone had already done this as it seems like a pretty common requirement.
