Dennis, try hovering over the args or the function call once in break
mode. I think VS is smart about showing values when you are hovering
the cursor over things like parameters and variables. Otherwise you can
just set a watch on the variables being passed into the args.

Dennis, try hovering over the args or the function call once in break mode. I think VS is smart about showing values when you are hovering the cursor over things like parameters and variables. Otherwise you can just set a watch on the variables being passed into the args.

TIM ELLISON
Look in VS IDE under View/Other Windows/Command Window.

When you get to your breakpoint, as long as the variables are defined, you
can get the values in the command window:

(EX)

public string foo(string whazzit, string howzzit)
{
// breakpoint on this line
string rtnValue = whazzit + howzzit;
return rtnValue;
}

In the IDE, when you hit the breakpoint on rtnValue declaration, do a "step
into" to get one line past, then in the command window, type the following
"? rtnValue" followed by pressing return.
