Hello All,

I'm just starting to use rich textbox and its awesome.

Does anyone have sample code or suggestions on how to add rich textboxes
to pages dynamically. I want to display several (number not known until
runtime) with content from a database.

Hi Tom

The way I see it there are 3 types of content
A complete page
A tiny section of a page
A whole bunch of News items/articles

I have created 2 Controls ,the first lists the content and can be
filtered by Category etc.The second I use for specific pages.

I have a Data driven menu system which I can tag pagenames, pages can
also have content tagged to them.

Hi Tom,

There are other ways, but here's one to give you an idea of how to do
this kind of thing.

In your ASPX file, include a PlaceHolder. This is an invisible tag in
the page, but you can use it from your code to insert controls into the
page.

<asp:PlaceHolder runat="server" id="PH" />

And then in your codebehind do this (C#):

protected PlaceHolder PH;

and then in Page_Load...

RichTextBox rtb1 = new RichTextBox();
RichTextBox rtb2 = new RichTextBox();
PH.Controls.Add(rtb1);
PH.Controls.Add(rtb2);
