Copy project over https

Greetings!

I need to publish my project to a server that accepts only https
connections. It seems like VS.NET doesn't like the fact that the certificate
is not fully trusted (i.e., when you access the server with IE, it pops up
the security warning kind of thing with those little yellow exclamation
marks). Is there anyway to instruct VS to ignore the warning or do I need to
resort to copying the files manually?

Thanks

Remas,

VS.NET should still deploy the files after you dismiss the warning. =20

If you can provide the following information, it may help narrow down
the problem:

What is the text of the error you are seeing?
What versions of OS & IIS is on the target machine?
Are you using FP extensions or Fileshare to copy?

Thanks,
Omar Khan

Omar,

thanks for your feedback - here are more details:

1. When I setup the server to accept non-SSL connections, Copy Project
works.
2. I'm not receiving any warnings I *could dismiss* while using Copy
Project--I get them only if accessing the IIS via Internet Explorer.
3. The error message is:
Unable to open Web project 'X/Y'. The file path 'C:\ABC' does not correspond
to the URL 'https://server/ABC'. The two need to map to the same server
location. THE CERTIFICATION AGENCY IS INVALID OR INCORRECT.
(caps added by me as that's the issue here--note that I had to translate
that from German so the orig. Eng message could be different).
4. I'm using file share.
5. The target machine is a Win2000 Server SP2 (IIS 5.0).

Thanks,
Remas
