Hi All,

I have found a reproducible bug with RichTextBox that causes two
characters to be deleted at a time when hitting the backspace button.

1. View the control in a web page
2. Switch to HTML view
3. Paste some code
4. Switch to non-HTML view
5. Place cursor at the end of the text
6. Hit the backspace button
7. Two characters should disappear instead of one.

Anyone else experience this? Is there a workaround?

Hi Tim,

This looks like an interesting one, but I've not managed to repeat it.

- What version of IE are you using?
- What HTML do you paste into the HTML view?
- Can you reproduce it using Demo 1 from the RichTextBox web site

Hi,

1. I am using IE 6.0; however, It is actually happening in NetCaptor 7.0
which uses the IE automation controls. It appears that this is the only
browser causing the problem; therefore, it seems to be browser specific.

2. Any text will cause the behavior

3. This is reproducible on the demo at www.richtextbox.com

I have not experienced it... And I also tried to reproduce it using your
directions and was unsuccessful in doing so...

Do this happen to you no matter what code you paste in?

Have you tried to reproduce it on the demo site at www.richtextbox.com
just to see if it will do it in a different environment?
