the code behind page references namespaces in a .net dll. Asp.Net chokes on
the using statement. I know that I need to somehow reference the dll in the
code behind page but am not sure how to do so. If anyone could help out it
would be appreciated thanks.

If you're using VS.NET, then just right click on your project references in solution explorer and select "Add Reference..." If you're using the command line compiler, then I think the option is /lib:<file> (you can do "csc /help").
