Hi all,
Can someone tell me about the Javascript/JScript's usage?. I am using C# in
ASP.NET to develop a web application.
Do i need to use JScript to make this application browser independent?.
Your feedback will help me to develop application properly,

Regards,
Venkat

Venkat,

Unless I am misunderstanding you it makes absolutely no difference as far as
"browser independence" goes whether you use C#, JSCRIPT.NET, PERL.NET,
VB.NET, J#, and/or etc SERVER SIDE to develop web applications. In the end
they will usually output html (or some ASCII output) ,which you can dictate
through your programming and setting various properties on Server Controls
whether you web app is "browser independent". In short its not which
languague you use to generate your Web pages in its what's generated that
makes your web app browser independent.

One note - if you are talking about using either Javascript or Jscript
client side - I would suggest using Javascript to make your web app browser
independent.

HTH,
Daniel Wilson
