Mail server on specific port

Is there any way to use a mail server on a non standard port (26) with
ASP.net.

I run IMail as my main mail server which is on port 25 and have had to
put the IIS SMTP service on port 26, but can't see how to access it via
SmtpMail.SmtpServer.

I have tried adding it in at the end using :26, but this doesn't seem
to work.

Unfortunately IMail grabs all the IPs so there doesn't seem to be a way
to stick it on one IP address and the IIS SMTP service on another
address.

Cheers,

Hi Julian,
Unfortunately you cannot specify a different port using System.Web.Mail.

If you still want to use any built-in MS components, you will probably have
to Interop to CDOSYS ( pretty sure you can change the port there).

<shamelessPlug>
Course if you want to go with a 3rd party component, there is always
aspNetEmail, and you can change the port. <g>
</shamelessPlug>

hth,
aspNetEmail

Hi Julian,
Yes, you need to have a license on all servers aspNetEmail is used on.
However, if price is the deciding factor in purchasing aspNetEmail, I'll be
willing to throw a copy in for free. All I ask for in return is some
developer feedback. aspNetEmail is the #1 .NET email component out there,
you just won't find a better one. And the only reason is because of the
strong developer feedback we have had, for upgrades, bug fixes, or feature
add-ons. We want to hear your comments

hth,
aspNetEmail
PS: We are about to release version 1.3 (today in fact) that has some cool
new features.
