I have 10-15 text boxes on my web form. I have a required field validator attached to each. I have a Submit and a Clear button. When clicking the Clear button, my required field messages pop up. How do I turn this off?

On your clear button add the attribute:

CausesValidation=3D"False"

set the CausesValidation property to False

i.e.

add this line to your control: CausesValidation="False" or just flip the
switch in VS

Doesn't matter...still set that attribute...when asp.net builds the page
it will know what to do.

To the clear button you have an attribute causesvalidation ..... set this to
false ....
