Dear List,

I had a problem with the Microsoft.Data.SqlXml DLL for the support of SQL Server 2000 XML.
The point is, when I 'm working let's say on client exe the dll works properly, but when I
try to compile with vbc.exe or even to import on webform it's raising an error:

The type "SqlXml" it was not found in the namespace: Microsoft.Data.SqlXml

After a searching in the MSDN I found it there is no reference path in the Project Property for this
DLL. I place it and it still the same, I try it even with vbc.exe /reference Microsoft.Data.SqlXml.dll
and I still getting the same error.

Can somebody give me hint of this?????

Thanks in ADVANCE,
TOD

I'm not sure what you mean by the "client" exe but I'm assuming that you
mean it compiles and runs fine within Visual Studio.NET?? If that's the
case, have you tried supplying the absolute path when you reference the
dll (/reference) on the command-line with vbc.exe? If it runs fine
within VS.NET but won't compile on the command line then the switch
isn't being used quite right more than likely. If after trying that it
still won't compile properly you may want to post some of the code so we
can take a look at how you're using the classes in the
Microsoft.Data.SqlXml namespace.

Little, Ambrose
If you are using VS.NET, you just need to go to the add reference dialog box
and browse to whereever you installed the assembly to (something like
C:\Program Files\SQLXML 3.0\bin) and select the assembly. If you are not
using VS.NET, you'll probably have to reference the full path to the
assembly because it is not one of the standard MS system assemblies.
