You can add parameter fields or formula fields in the treeview on the
left side of your VS.NET desktop. Rightclick on the sections 'parameter
fields' and 'formula fields' and select 'Add' (or 'Edit')

Sometimes the field explorer "disappears" from view. To get it back, select
View/Other Windows/Document Outline
from the menu in the development environment.

Hmm I don't have a tree view on my left side. I can right click on the
report and I find "insert", but insert field is grayed out always. I can't
believe my field explorer is missing. Hmmm...

thanks,
Greg

Greg,
In VS, with your Crystal Report open, go to View/Other Windows/Document =
Outline. This should bring your field explorere back.

There's also a button on the toolbar to toggle the Field Explorer on and
off.

I've found that means that you have used all your fields in your data
source. Could that be true in this case?
