hey everyone, i am desperatly trying to complete an insanly easy report, but
fail to do so. I placed a few fields on a blank report and when I try to
debug the project I get this error:

Compiler Error Message: CS1009: Unrecognized escape sequence

Source Error:

I think it hase something 2 do with the pathname in the cr:.. Control.

Try this:

<cr:CrystalReportViewer id=CrystalReportViewer1 style="Z-INDEX: 101;
LEFT: -152px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 0px" runat="server"
ReportSource='<%# "C:\\inetpub\\wwwroot\\reports\\crystalreport1.rpt"
%>' Height="1070px" Width="1030px" />

And if it does not work:

<cr:CrystalReportViewer id=CrystalReportViewer1 style="Z-INDEX: 101;
LEFT: -152px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 0px" runat="server"
ReportSource='<%# @"C:\inetpub\wwwroot\reports\crystalreport1.rpt" %>'
Height="1070px" Width="1030px" />

I have no experience with a workaround. I got the same error a couple
of months ago, but then I decided to manually bind the report source to
the control (in my codebehind file).

I test my report use your code, it works fine. Which CR version of your
report? VS.Net can only accept reports generated by 8.5 and above.

When I import report into VS project, and use code:
    dim rpt as myReport()
    crViewer.ReportSource = rtp
I might have error msg like 'Unrecognized escape sequence', but if set
report's Build Action property to 'Embedded Resource', error is gone.
