Hello Everyone,

I am having a wierd problem with Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.

The following error is being generated when compiling my project using VS.Net.

__________________________________
'Public Shared Overloads Function ExecuteScalar(connectionString As String, commandType As System.Data.CommandType, commandText As String, ParamArray commandParameters() As System.Data.SqlClient.SqlParameter) As Object' is declared in project 'Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.dll', which is not referenced by project 'ABC.ARO.External.dll'.

I have added the screenshot of the scenario which explains the things going on very clear. This error popped up many times, however once I restart the VS.NET its gone. But today it didn't happen no matter what.

The above picture shows that I have indeed added the applicationblock as a reference and the intellisense of vs.net shows the it could refer to this component.

Please advice if there is anything that I can do to correct this error.

Thank you all for your time and consideration

I am having the same issue with Office 2000 interop assemblies. Only in some
cases though?? For example, I have a class that is adding VBA modules to the
Personal.xls file, but the following line returns a build error of
"...\ExcelViewer.vb(1136): 'Public Overridable ReadOnly Property
VBComponents() As VBIDE.VBComponents' is declared in project 'VBIDE.dll',
which is not referenced by project 'Viewers.dll'.":

xcelApp.ActiveWorkbook.VBProject.VBComponents.Import(sMacro)
