I am using JLCA 3.0 beta...

When I click on the JLCA UPGRADE_TODO help reference that is inserted into the converted code (see example below) I just get an error:

//UPGRADE_TODO: Class 'java.io.ObjectOutputStream' was converted to 'System.IO.BinaryWriter' which has a different behavior. 'ms-help://MS.VSCC.2003/commoner/redir/redirect.htm?keyword="jlca1073_javaioObjectOutputStream_3"'

When I click on the ‘ms-help://MS.VSCC.2003/….’ Link I get the following error:

What do I need to do to make this work?

Hi Arda,

You need to wait to be approved! It will take some time until you receive a
confirmation email.

JLCA 3.0 beta seems to be better than the previous version. :)

yeah I encounter the same think like Craig!

So this is what i do (the manual way, haha)

1) Go to your start -> programs -> Visual Studio .NET 2003 -> Visual Studio
..NET 2003 Documentation

2) Click the + icon beside the Java Language Conversion Assistant 3.0
(please install this file from your beta site JLCA3BetaDocSetup-English.msi)

3) Click the + icon again at the Converting Visual J++ Applications to
Visual C#

4) Then click the + icon at the JLCA Diagnostic Message Listed by Package

5) In your case, look for Java.io.Error Messages

6) Then look for java.io.ObjectOutputStream

Yes you had found your errors and how to solve it BUT

the problem is there are many ObjectOutputStream, so you had to look 1 by 1...

Maybe this is still beta! can't expect much :)
