Shifting from VC++ to which .NET ?

I am doing programming in VC++ for last one and half years.I also have done programming in VB for database . Now i want to switch to .net enabled lang.In which language i will shift considering that i have to learn it in less time as i have to develop a good level of project in .net very soon ?

The issue for you is not which .NET language, as your C++ background and VB
experience would make it relatively easy to pick up VB.NET or C# syntax. If
your project includes data access, your challenge will be learning about
ADO.NET, which is quite different from ADO.
In general, the steepest part of the learning curve transitioning to .NET is
the ,NET Framework and supporting classes, no matter which language.
