Hi All,
I added a DLL written by VB.NET to GAC. This DLL is
located at C:\LLSI-Tech\GAC im my local computer.

The project(project1) for above DLL is located at
C:\clearcase\payoff.

I add this DLL to my another VB class project(project2) as
a reference from C:\LLSI-Tech\GAC.

However, the path for the DLL changes from C:\LLSI-
Tech\GAC to C:\clearcase\payoff\bin after I rebuild
project2.

Does anybody can tell me what is going on.

Thank you in advance !

there is a property on the reference that says whether it should copy to
local. you need to turn this off. by setting it to false. this should use the
dll from the original location.

if in VS.net, goto the references section on the solution explorer, click on
your reference and press F4, this should be where the setting is.

Hello sir,
Thank you for your response. I found the problem.
Here is what I have done to solve the problem:
<1> Go to the properties by right clicking project name
from Solution Explorer;
<2> Remove "C:\clearcase\payoff\bin" from the Reference
Path (Under folder Common Properties) list.
