Hello everybody,

is there any way to interrupt a Console.ReadLine operation ?
I have a server application running as a console application with a remoting
interface. One thread is waiting for commands entered at the console. If the
application is shutdown through the interface I want to shutdown the console
thread too, otherwise the application will not terminate.
I tried to abort the console thread with Thread.Abort but this does not work
because the ThreadState changes to ThreadState.AbortRequested but the thread
is never aborted at all. I tried to work around using Console.In.Peek but
this does not return until there are any characters typed in and cannot be
aborted either.

Any comments please ?

Terminate your app with Environment.Exit(0).
