How can I launch my newly installed app after installation is
complete? I have found an article describing ways to do it, but it
has not worked for me.

The article I found said:

But I get a script error every time I try this saying:

"An exception 'Runtime Error' has occurred in Script."

I opt to enter the debugger, but I don't see what the problem is. Any
help is greatly appreciated.

Take a log of the install:
msiexec /i your.msi /l*v somelogfile.log
and look for the script error - the log usually has an explicit message
about the script error (you may have a syntax error).
Post the VBScript here too maybe.

Thanks for the tip. The logfile provided a bunch of info about the install
and pointed to a problem in my script. The log didn't say exactly what the
problem was, but when I reviewed it I realized I forgot to quote the
command to execute. It is alwasy something simple. Thanks for the help.
Everything is working great now.
