This may not be the right fourm. Need a little help.

I am converting an MSSQL Server wizard generated Export DTS package to
vb.net and need the default for a connection object. Here is the code giving
me the problem.

'UPGRADE_WARNING: Couldn't resolve default property of object oConnection.

goPackage.Connections.Add(oConnection)

UPGRADE_NOTE: Object oConnection may not be destroyed until it is garbage

oConnection = Nothing

Hi Jim,

I'm not overly farmilur with DTS projects but I do have a couple of
questions for you.

What is oConnection declared as in your project? If it's strongly typed
to an DTS.Connection then I'm surprised the upgrade Wizard gave you this
warning since the package.add expects a DTS.Connection object as the
parameter. If it's not strongly typed the Upgrade Wizard would have
upgraded it to an Object. You can change that by declaring it as a
DTS.Connection in you upgraded project.

Are you getting a runtime errors if you run it? It looks to me (at least
from this small snippet of code) that it should run fine.
