I am trying to create a web page with an embedded <Object tag> for adding an ActiveX control.

The control is showing up on the page. I am able to also interact with the ActiveX control. I can send it values and get back values.

However, when i try to create a file in the ActiveX control at the following location "C:\Temp\Test.txt", it thorws a

Request for the permission of type
System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission,mscorlib,
Version 1.0.5000.0, Culture=neutral,

It looks like I am running in the "Sandbox" mode. My .dll is a signed .dll and I should not have any issues running it technically.

thats correct. signing a control just allows downloading, not extra
permissions.

..net active controls have the simular restrictions as java applets. for the
control to access the disk, the user must manually update the security
policy for the control. if you supply an install program for the .net
control, the install can do it.
