Bootstrap Bill
Does anyone know if Visual Studio Express will be distributed free of
charge? I had thought that it would, to compete with similar productss from
Borland and others, but I read somewhere else that it might cost as much as
$100.

Will there be an academic version? If not, is there any reason for a student
to purchase it? The academic version of Visual Studio .net 2003 is around
the same price.

Does anyone know if the Express Edition can be used to create Web Services?
Can programs created with the Express Edition consume Web Services?

Are there any news groups set up specifically for the Express Editions?

I see a few for VS.net 2005, but nothing specifically for the Express
versions.
