Hi,

We have developed a .net application (website) which is running in windows
2003 server. Hits to this site is more. Say for example when firsttime the
IIS restarted in morning, the memory status(Task Manager) starts with 230MB.
But the same day evening or next day evening it reaches to 1.2 GB. After this
stage we request for a .net page and it returns "system.out of memory error".
But the same program is running without error for 4-5 days. There is no
consistent.

Why this is happening? Any settings in windows 2003 server doesn't remove
any objects from memory? Or any particular reason to this? We are sure that
the .net applications remove the objects once the job is done.

Can anyone come across this situation?

Your help is appriciated.

I'm guessing something's wrong with your app design where GC is not
happening properly
