Hello everyone,

I was wondering if this would work and if it would be a good practice.

I have a typed dataset in my data layer
I have a class in my business layer that inherits from that dataset

myBusinessClass_
inherits typedDataset

End Class

If I bind this to my UI datagrid just as is it works just no records.
Is there a way I can populate that "class"/Typed Dataset?

Thanks,
rod

And you called Fill method to fill the strong typed dataset? or any other
way to fill in the data?

Yes,
the fill method seems to be working and called. Here's my ultimate goal: I
have a 3-tier logical app and I'm trying to get the typed dataset into the UI
where I can utilize it.

In the business layer I can fill the typed dataset and return it in an
object type and populate the datagrid. To me, it seems very slow to work
with.

I was thinking maybe a class in the business layer that inherits from my
typed dataset? I don't know I'm lost at this point.

thanks,
rod
