I have a windows service app that calls a smtp-customed object to establish
socket connection and send email content through the socket to smtp server.
The email code (smtp-customed object) has been well tested and sent out email
fine on window form app (single or multi threaded environment). When my win
service app uses this object, it does not return any errors but email never
reached destination nor the Exchange server's queue.

Any ideas are very much appreciated.

I think you first have to determine if the socket connection is successful
from your windows service. Are you seeing any exceptions? Are you
catching any? You can also use a network packet sniffer to see if you're
communicating with the smtp server. I would recommend the open source
application Ethereal, http://www.ethereal.com.

Thanks,

Sam
