Howdo all,

Got a side-by-side installation of VS.Net EA - 1.0 SP3 & VS.Net 1.1 EA.
Installed Framework 1.1 SP1 from Windows Update.
Did a quick check on mscorcfg.dll for Framework 1.1.4322. The file version
being reported is still the same as that before applying SP1 i.e. .573.
According to:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318785
should be reporting .2032

Install appeared to go smoothly.
No errors in Event Logs
I need to dig a bit deeper. Just wanted to know if this rings any bells with
anyone ?

Further, this is making me question whether the "versioning" info in Q318785
applies to 1.1 SP1.
Some of the files in %windir%\Microsoft.Net\v1.1.4322 end with .573, some
with .2032.
VSNet 2003 IDE (Help\About) reports SP1 has been installed.

Can someone (ideally from MS) confirm that mscorcfg.dll reporting .573 is
actually correct/the way it should be ?

Unfortunatley, the KB you reference below was incorrect and is in the
process of being updated.
mscorcfg.dll was not updated as part of .NET Fx 1.1 SP1 release.
The best way for you to determine if you have SP1 installed is to check the
registry key.
See HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v1.1.4322

SP = 1

Err...forget that.

Just updated 2 Win2k3 EE Servers with .Net FW 1.1 SP1 - mscorcfg.dll doesn't
get replaced.
Same for XP.
