When one makes an HTTP request and the server tries to set a cookie, is
there any way of trapping the value and using it in subsequent requests
(i.e. using a different HttpWebRequest instance)?

If not, how exactly does one set the CookieContainer property to enable
persistence of cookies between requests made by the same HttpWebRequest
instance? Basically I just want to be able to carry an AspSessionID cookie
around with me to simulate a single session; any thoughts?

Peter,

a couple of weeks ago I had a similar requirement. I remember havin HUGE
problems with the CookieContainer. Huge = that property doesn't seem to work
(I can't remember whether it was the setting or the retrieving of cookies or
both). I don't have access to that code right now (I'll have it on Monday)
but if memory serves me well I checked/wrote adequate headers to simulate
the cookies.
