I am converting a rather large application from asp.classic to asp.net.
Now, I have been using quite a few components with this application (SA
Fileup, AspJpeg for rescaling and thumbnail/lowres-generation of
uploaded images, a Javabased Zip Component and a component called
TCPIP.DNS -- there may be more), and I have a few questions:

1. Is there functionality within the .Net Framework which replaces some
or all of these components?

2. If not, how should I address these components within the .net
framwork?

Hoping for a prompt answer.... :)

Probably. For your file upload component, yes,
definitely, this is now built in to the framework. I
can't address all your other components, but if you'll
ask about those sets of functionality individually,
I'll bet someone can tell you how to do them with the
.net framework.

If there are any that you still need to use, or want
to at least temporarily for easier migration, you can
still use them with COM Interop. See here for an
intro:

Hope this helps!
